Large Format Printing
Large-format printing is the production engine behind an enormous range of what we make — and understanding its capabilities is useful for anyone commissioning signage, graphics, or visual communication at scale. Vinyl graphics. Backlit displays. Banner systems. Vehicle wraps. Floor graphics. Construction barrier wraps. Fine art reproductions. All of it runs through our large-format printing capability, specified and produced to the standard each application requires.

What Large-Format Printing Covers
Large-format digital printing is a platform, not a single product. We print on rigid substrates — aluminum composite, acrylic, foam board, Dibond, PVC, Sintra, and Gatorboard — as well as flexible media including vinyl, fabric, mesh, and banner material. Output scales from a few square inches to building-scale graphics, with consistent color accuracy and resolution throughout. If it can be printed on a flat or flexible substrate, we can produce it.
Color Accuracy and Calibration
Color is where large-format printing earns trust or loses it. We run calibrated print workflows — ICC profiles, regular press calibration, and a proofing process that catches color problems before they become expensive reprints. For brand-critical applications, we pull physical proofs for approval before running the full job. For Pantone-critical color matching, we’re honest about the limitations of digital printing and tell you upfront if your colors present a matching challenge.

Substrate and Material Specification
The substrate a graphic is printed on is as important as the print itself, and we specify materials based on what the application actually requires. Exterior applications need UV-stable inks and weather-resistant substrates. Backlit graphics need media engineered for even light transmission. Floor graphics need laminates rated for foot traffic. Vehicle wraps need cast vinyl that conforms to complex curves without lifting or shrinking. We don’t use one material for everything — we use the right material for each job.
Finishing
Great printing is only as good as the finishing that follows it. We cut, laminate, mount, hem, grommet, weld, and frame printed pieces in-house. Clean cuts, consistent laminate application, properly tensioned hems on banners, precisely routed rigid panels — these are the details that separate a professional result from a commodity print job, and they’re part of every order we produce.
Turnaround
Large-format printing is one of the fastest production processes we offer. Standard turnaround runs 3 to 5 business days from approved files. Rush production is available for time-sensitive applications — events, retail campaigns, construction deadlines — and we’re realistic about what’s achievable without compromising quality.
Large Format Printing FAQs
We work primarily with PDF, AI, EPS, and high-resolution TIFF files. For large-format work, files should be supplied at the intended output size at a minimum of 100 dpi, or at a reduced scale with proportionally higher resolution. We’re happy to provide a detailed file preparation guide for any specific project.
Our large-format equipment handles output widths up to 16 feet, with virtually unlimited length on roll media. For graphics larger than our single-pass width, we produce tiled output with precision-matched seams. Building-scale graphics are managed as part of our standard production workflow.
Our standard exterior print and laminate combinations are rated for 3 to 5 years in full outdoor exposure. Premium cast vinyl with UV-protective laminate can perform for 5 to 7 years. The right specification depends on your environment, your expected lifespan, and your budget — we’ll recommend accordingly.
In some cases, yes — it depends on whether the substrate is compatible with our printing systems. Contact us before sending materials; we’d rather have that conversation upfront than after something goes wrong.
