Structural Assessment and Mounting Engineering

Before we install anything, we understand exactly what we’re installing it onto. Wall construction, substrate material, structural capacity, existing conditions — these determine the mounting approach, the hardware specification, and the prep work required. For exterior signs, we assess the facade and engineer the mounting system to handle wind loads, thermal movement, and weathering conditions.

Exterior Installation

Exterior sign installation requires experience with a wide range of facade types — brick, concrete, EIFS, metal panel, glass curtain wall, wood, and more — and the ability to work safely and effectively in an urban environment. We install at height using scaffolding, aerial lifts, and rigging as the project requires, with full compliance with applicable safety regulations. All exterior penetrations are sealed and waterproofed to protect the building envelope.

Interior Installation

Interior installation demands a different kind of precision — clean, tight, level, and finished. Dimensional letters with invisible stud mounts. ADA signs positioned exactly to code. Wayfinding systems installed consistently across dozens or hundreds of locations. We work in occupied commercial spaces, healthcare facilities, hospitality environments, and cultural institutions.

Electrical Coordination

Illuminated signs require electrical connections, and coordinating the sign installation with the electrical contractor is a critical part of the process. We handle all sign-side electrical work — wiring, power supplies, connections to the sign body — and coordinate directly with the building or project electrician for the panel-side connection.

Working in Occupied and Sensitive Environments

Many of our installations happen in spaces that are actively in use — operating restaurants, occupied office buildings, open healthcare facilities, active construction sites. We develop detailed installation plans that account for the specific requirements of each environment: scheduling around business hours, protecting surfaces and furnishings, maintaining safety for building occupants, and coordinating with facility management throughout.

Post-Installation Inspection and Sign-Off

When installation is complete, we conduct a thorough post-installation inspection before we consider the job done. Every sign is checked for level, alignment, finish quality, and — for illuminated signs — proper function. Any issues identified during inspection are corrected on the spot. We don’t leave a job until we’re satisfied that it meets our standards and the client’s expectations.

Installation FAQs

Yes. We install third-party fabricated signage when the scope makes sense and the product meets our standards for safe and clean installation. We assess the sign and the installation conditions before committing to a scope, and we’re honest if something isn’t right before we put it on the wall.

Yes. We work within the labor requirements of specific buildings and projects, including union environments. We carry the appropriate licenses, insurance, and certifications required for commercial sign installation in New York City.

We address them directly and communicate with the client immediately. Unexpected substrate conditions, concealed structural elements, pre-existing damage — these things happen, and how a contractor handles them matters. We document what we find, present the options, and work with the client to determine the best path forward without delaying the installation unnecessarily.

Yes. We warranty our installation work and stand behind the quality of what we put up. If something fails due to an installation defect within the warranty period, we come back and fix it. We’ll provide specific warranty terms for any project on request.
